Forged in the heart of Arkansas, perfected on Vashon Island, Washington. As the story goes, back in the 1980's uncle Russ and his friends had a few dollars in their pockets. With dinner time approaching they went to the store to get what they need for dinner, however, only had enough money for their steaks and a choice between a couple beers or BBQ sauce. Knowing they couldn't make beer, they skipped the BBQ sauce and purchased the steaks and beers knowing he could try his hand at making BBQ sauce. That evening the BBQ sauce we know and love today was born! This unique story of how the iconic BBQ sauce came to be highlights the creativity and resourcefulness of its founders. Years of experimentation and a sprinkle of luck led to the creation of this iconic BBQ sauce that we now cherish!
